AJ Williams-Tchen (Wiradjuri/Wotjobulak) holds the following qualifications: Master of Social Work, Master of Education, Master of Research, Diploma of Hospital Based Nursing (maternal health and mental health), Diploma of Youth Work, Diploma of Community Services Coordination, Diploma of Leadership & Management. 32 years experience in health, community services, TAFE and universities, and within private practice.   15 years providing MHFA workshops nationally. 
Awards include: NSW Mental Health Matters Award 2012, Victorian Emerging Indigenous Leader 2016, Frankston Mornington Peninsula Community NAIDOC Award (Cultural Pride, Community Spirit & Personal Resilience), Aboriginal Social Worker of the Year 2022, George & Ethel Swinburne Social Impact Alumni Award 2022, Victoria University Professional Achievement Alumni Award 2022 & the Victoria University People’s Choice Spirit of VU Alumni Award 2022.
