Lived Experience Consultant

Jo Farmer is an independent evaluation and policy consultant, and lived experience advocate. Her work focuses on building the capability and capacity of organisations to put the person back into the system, and restore individuals’ and communities’ autonomy and empowerment. She prioritises those who have been marginalised, including people with significant trauma and mental distress. Jo also has lived experience of eating disorders, managing various eating disorders and disordered eating for most of her life. She is particularly interested in ensuring that people in marginalised bodies have equitable access to eating disorder recovery, drawing on her own experience as a fat person seeking support for her eating disorder.
